CHANGE
STARTS WITH YOU

Coweta County Indivisible is a local chapter of the national Indivisible organization.  Indivisible is an entirely grassroots organization with practical solutions to protect and defend democracy at every level.  Our local chapter believes that a democracy of, by, and for the people is an inherent right to all that live here. We are under threat of authoritarianism from the very government that is meant to protect us and our rights.  As a group of progressive, like-minded individuals, we strive to affect positive change in our community for us and for future generations.  They say all politics are local and the same can be said for change.  The change starts with you, and if you join us, our individual voices get louder, our reach gets broader, and change happens in our community and beyond.

Indivisible Guide

A Practical Guide to Democracy on the Brink

After the first Trump election, two former congressional staffers, Ezra Levin and Angel Padilla, wrote a battle plan for the resistance. It was called "Indivisible: A Practical Guide for Resisting the Trump Agenda". It was an online booklet but it became the blueprint for a movement.

Indivisible became a national organization of which Levin and his wife, Leah Greenberg, are now co-executive directors. There are currently more than 1,000 Indivisible chapters across all 50 states.

Levin has updated the online guide for “Trump 2.0” with, Indivisible: A Practical Guide to Democracy on the Brink. “This guide is narrow, it is short term, and it is defensive in nature,” he says. “It is not a guide for how we build the world we want to see, it’s a guide for how we live to fight another day.”
